Synopsis

The all-new origin of the Legion concludes as the story focuses on the super girl Laurel Gand, who's been flying through recent issues. The butcher Roxxas is searching for a holo of Laurel Gand and her origins in order to do some "research". The holo helps tell the story of Laurel, who was once a Daxamite daughter of scientists living on Ricklef II when Khunds attacked and murdered her parents. Laurel escaped and was relocated to Earth to hide her from the Khunds who knew she had survived the assault and also to give her Superman-like powers to help protect her. Under Earth's yellow sun, she gained superhuman abilities. Laurel wallowed in her situation until, some time later, she was approached by three other super-powered teenagers who wanted to be her friends - the ladies of the Legion of Super-Heroes! They helped Laurel socialize and get comfortable in her own skin, eventually auditioning her for Legion membership and accepting her.
